Job Responsibilities
• Inspecting, maintaining, and demonstrating use of one or more pieces of heavy equipment while practicing safety
• Maintaining grade using grade stakes, lasers, and GPS
• Enforcing OSHA, MSHA, FRA and DOT regulations for the site, subcontractor crews, and visitors
• Overseeing crews, recommending promotions and terminations
• Knowable of erosion control, geotechnical analysis, constructions foundation and land grading for renewable power plants
• Conduct on site investigations and analyze data including surveys, maps, reports, civil drawings and tests
• Knowledge of wetland and storm water management
• Conduct testing on soils to establish the capability and strength of the foundation Design and Prepare regulatory and permitting documents including site plan, special permits and construction documents
• Prepare environmental site assessment, site surveys, and wetland delineation
• Identify design alternatives for solar power plants
• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical concepts and theory
• Ability to use surveying equipment
• Assist other engineers/EPC group and management as directed
Qualifications
• 5-10 years of professional experience
• Must have a valid driver license and an acceptable motor vehicle driving record (MVR)
• Ability to be located near current jobsite - travel position
• Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and co-workers, by effectively communicating with them sharing clear expectations and holding them accountable for their actions
